Cleburne’s division continues to advance westward in the growing darkness.  Deshler’s brigade continues to move farther to the left, away from the rest of Cleburne’s division.  It passes through Jackson’s brigade of Cheatham’s division.

            Baird’s division begins to move forward to link up with Johnson as the skirmish fire from the front heats up.
