Confederate Order of Battle
The Campaign
August 20th

The Army of Tennessee began the campaign with the two infantry corps it had been organized into since the end of the Battle of Stone's River nine months earlier.  A Cavalry Corps had been added since then, as well as the independent cavalry division of Forrest, the independent infantry brigade of Jackson, and the Reserve artillery under Robertson.  Two of the brigades in Morgan's cavalry division are simply remnants of the raiding force sent into Kentucky and Ohio during July, and the remaining brigade under Roddey will remain in Alabama and not take part in the main campaign.
