Many of the units that fled the field as a result of the Confederate breakthrough are now beginning to arrive at McFarland Gap in Missionary Ridge.
         Johnson’s Division and Anderson’s Brigade begin their assault on Horseshoe Ridge.  Steedman’s division of the Federal Reserve Corps march to intercept them.
         Cheatham’s Division is ordered north to support the rest of the Right Wing.  Mill’s brigade pulls off the line in front of Kelly Field.
