While Deas’ Brigade is routing Davis’ division, the rest of Hindman’s Division continues westward.  As it advances, Manigault’s Brigade drifts to the left, opening an ever-widening gap between them and Deas.
         Sheridan’s division is divided.  Laiboldt’s brigade is in a relatively strong position on a hillside overlooking a tan yard.  The remaining two brigades are marching north.
