Hazen continues to form a defensive position north of the Poe House.  As he does, regiments from Clayton and Bate defeat the last of the regiments of his brigade left in the Brotherton Field.

            South of the Brotherton Field, the 3^rd and 41^st Tennessee of Sugg’s brigade counterattack Harker.  The attack is stopped, but it focuses Harker’s attention on the woods east of Brotherton Road rather than on the progress of Clayton and Bate to the north.

            Clayton follows up his success in Brotherton Field by continuing to move west.
