Bate’s charge finally pushes Grose off the knoll he has held for three hours, along with the 75^th Indiana.  Clayton’s brigade moves forward and engages the units in the Brotherton Field.  The 25^th Tennessee of Fulton’s brigade makes it way across the Lafayette Road and attacks the units in the field from the flank, while the rest of the brigade applies pressure from the front.  The combined assault breaks the Union line and sends the units fleeing in panic.
