Gregg’s brigade arrives on Robertson’s right and extends his line.  McNair’s brigade splits, with the 25^th Arkansas and 39^th North Carolina moving closer with Gregg.  Trigg’s brigade begins to move closer to the open fields.

            Barnes' brigade deploys in line of battle and advances through the rough underbrush of the southern portion of East Viniard Field.  Behind him, Wood’s division arrives from the south.
