Clayton’s brigade moves past Wright’s retreating troops and attacks Van Cleve’s division.  Three of E. King’s regiments march south to extend Van Cleve’s line.  The 75^th Indiana, an untried regiment more than 700 strong, remains on Brotherton ridge to support the batteries there.
